#3 · Jun 29, 2011 I'll bet, like me, you came from a quad in which the engine oil also served as clutch / gear lube in the tranny. On the Renegade and Oulanders, the gearbox lube is seperate - and thus, the engine doesn't need as much as what we're used to with other quads. A very good price and the local auto zone has it. One thing I wanted to share is if you guys do your own gear box oil change make sure on the fill plug (the plastic one) you retreve the rubber O-ring from the hole. i just happen to look down there just before wiping it off and seeing the o-ring. Second thing the drain plug has a magnet built into it, and mine was really dirty (11 engine hours). .
